"Saruga Baba" refers to the desolate land that spreads between Futagawa and Shirasuka,

 and has nothing to do with ordinary horse fields.

As the sign says, Kashiwamochi is a specialty, and it is said that

Toyotomi Hideyoshi liked it.

The three women were blind shamisen players who were protected

by the feudal domain, and were called "Goze".

 

 

The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Ban) were reproduced

by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association

 

These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition

at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen

like a dream team in Japan.
