"Rokugo Ferry" corresponds to the current Shin-Rokugo Bridge over the Tama River.

Not only travelers on the Tokaido, but also pilgrims to Kawasaki Daishi crossed here.

On the opposite bank, you can see the Senba Kaisho (government office)

where you pay the boat fare.

The depiction of the boatman holding on to his oar is skillful.

The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Ban) were reproduced

by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association

These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition

at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen

like a dream team in Japan.
