Maisaka is a post town on the eastern shore of Lake Hamana.

The Imakire Ferry crosses the short distance where Lake Hamana

meets the Pacific Ocean.

Travelers from Edo first enjoyed boat trips here.

Today, a bridge spans the area, and the Shinkansen and Tokaido lines pass through here.

The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Ban) were reproduced

by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association

These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition

at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen

like a dream team in Japan.
