"Dechaya" is a simple teahouse with a reed lattice roof beside the road,

selling tea and a bowl of rice.

If you look closely at this picture, you can see that they are even selling sandals.

Fukuroi-juku, visible in the distance to the right, is the center of the Tokaido.

Halfway through the journey, the traveler begins to feel at ease.

The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Ban) were reproduced

by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association

These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition

at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen

like a dream team in Japan.
