From The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Edition)
The distance between Oiso and Hiratsuka is short, and the hill on the right continues
from Mount Koma in Hiratsuka.
Even today, there are many rows of pine trees, and it is possible to experience a similar
atmosphere to that in this painting.
Oiso is a place connected to the "Soga Monogatari," famous for its story of revenge,
and the name "Tora-ga-ame" ("rain of the tiger") is said to have originated from
the rain that fell due to the delusion of Tora-gozen, who had lost her husband.
