A view near JR Omori Station.
Yoroi-kake-tsutsu (pine tree) is a large pine tree about 20 meters tall,
and as shown in this picture, its branches are drooping due to its weight.
It is said that the name comes from the fact that Hachiman Taro Yoshiie hung
his armor on it before heading to conquer Oshu.
Hakkei-zaka was named after the fact that it offered a view of the open sea of
Shinagawa, like an eight-sided mirror.
One Hundred Famous Views of Edo is a series of ukiyo-e prints
begun and largely completed by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797~1858)
