From The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Edition)

With the morning sky as a backdrop, a procession of feudal lords proceeds forward,

 carrying boxes and spears.

It is a wonderful work that symbolizes the departure of the Tokaido and Nihonbashi.

At the north end of the bridge, fish markets were lined up, and fish peddlers were

 bustling around the area.

This is another morning scene in Nihonbashi.

The 53 Stations of the Tōkaidō (Hoeido-Ban) were reproduced

by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association

These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition

at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen

like a dream team in Japan.
