This waterfall is based on legend, and even the locals are unaware of its existence.
It is believed that Hokusai became interested in the story of Yoshitsune washing his horse here and chose it for his work.
The waterfall flows upwards in stages, as if it really existed.
Washu refers to present-day Nara Prefecture (Yamato).
