Oyama-dera Temple (Sekison Gongen) in Oyama, Sagami, was a popular destination due to its location near Edo.

People would form groups known as Oyama-ko and climb the mountain bearing wooden swords as offerings.

This painting shows people taking a water ritual at Roben-no-taki waterfall,

named after the founder of the temple.
