The title reads "Miyatogawa," but the same picture in a related sketch album
reads "Ryogoku."
The identical buildings lined up on the opposite bank are thought to be
the Gofunakura in "Gofunakura no ○ (with a boat and insect radical)"
in the first volume of Hokusai's "Sumida River:
Ryogan Ichiran," and are thought to represent the scenery around Ryogoku,
as the title "Ryogoku" in the sketch album reads.
Hokusai Series of One Thousand Images of the Sea were reproduced
by Tokyo traditional woodcut craft Association
These traditional woodblock prints were reproduced exactly as the first edition
at Edo-Tokyo Museum have by many of top skilled craftsmen
like a dream team in Japan.
