Japanese Woodblock Print  Name

#010 - Echizen Fukui no Hashi  (ゑちぜん ふくゐの橋 福井)

From Series - Rare Views of Famous Japanese Bridges

The bridge in Fukui is Tsukumobashi Bridge, which spans the Asuwa River in Fukui City.

As you can see from the picture, it is a unique bridge,

consisting of a stone sleeve and a wooden middle section.

On the opposite bank, hosho paper (Japanese paper), a specialty of Echizen,

is drying, but since it is produced in a different area,

it seems that Hokusai added it himself.
