#003 - Funahashi Bridge at Sano in Kozuke Province (かうつけ佐野 ふなはしの古づ 群馬)
From Series - Rare Views of Famous Japanese Bridges
"Kautsuke" refers to the old name of the province of Ueno in Gunma Prefecture.
It refers to the temporary bridge "Funabashi" in Sano,
Takasaki City, but since it includes the word "old (drawing)",
it is assumed that it was based on some illustration.
It is also described in the Manyoshu, but even if it is just imagination,
the excellent composition of the picture, such as the curved bridge, is typical of Hokusai.
