"Suho no Kuni" refers to the old name of the southern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture,
"Suo" (the northern part was Nagato).
Kintaikyo Bridge is known as one of the three most unusual bridges in Japan
and is visited by many tourists.
The unique shape of the bridge makes it an attractive subject for painting,
but there is no mountain behind it,
so it may have been painted based on legend or imagination.
