A drawing of the current Akasaka Mitsuke intersection.

There is no reservoir in the foreground, but the slope leading to Akasaka Gomon

reminds us of those days.

This painting was done by Hiroshige II, and is a representative work that

inherits his style well.

Like the first, he produced paintings of famous places,

but later, with the trend of the times, he shifted to paintings of modern Yokohama.

 

 

 

 

One Hundred Famous Views of Edo  is a series of ukiyo-e prints

begun and largely completed by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797~1858)

Never rolled up.

Never framed, kept in professional condition.
