Boat trips on the Sumida River are varied and varied throughout the seasons,
and summer boat trips are a seasonal tradition.
The "Shuo no Matsu" (Pine of Success) is located in a section of the warehouse
district of Kuramae, and it is said that when jounal passengers on boats heading to
Yoshiwara would see this pine tree and talk about the success of the evening,
it is said to have been there. It is a famous pine tree that is also marked on old maps.
One Hundred Famous Views of Edo is a series of ukiyo-e prints
begun and largely completed by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797~1858)
