From One Hundred Famous Views of Edo

There used to be a five-story pagoda like the one depicted in this painting

on the south side of the grounds of Zojoji Temple in Shiba.

The picture looks southwest towards Azabu, with the Akabane River

(also known as the Shibuya River or Furukawa River) flowing from

the back and the Akabane Bridge in the middle.

One Hundred Famous Views of Edo  is a series of ukiyo-e prints

begun and largely completed by Utagawa Hiroshige (1797~1858)

were reproduced in 1998-2004

Never rolled up.

Never framed, kept in professional condition.
