I am so delighted with my recent purchase of a Byobu from Team Wakon. The hand-painted piece of art was crafted by Master Tominaga Jyuho. The byobu represents a tranquil scene of soft, delicate, pink and white blossoms adorning the dark, knobby bark on a pair of plum trees along the banks of a flowing river. In Japan, I am told the plum blossoms are the very first to appear in the early Spring. The plum blossoms are bursting with symbolism. They not only represent prosperity, and good fortune, but are thought to ward off evil spirits. There are also two green songbirds that further enhance the gentleness of the scene. This beautiful piece of art has a gold leaf background that shimmers and changes hues throughout the day.
I have my new Byobu proudly displayed in my freshly re-decorated living room. It offers me a sense of peace and serenity.
Team Wakon was effective communicating with me and kept me informed during the shipping and delivery process. It arrived undamaged and in perfect condition. I would gladly purchase another piece of hand-crafted art from Team Wakon again and hope to do so in the future.
